🌿 Usui Reiki
If you've never had energy work before, you might be wondering exactly what happens. A Reiki session is a passive, deeply relaxing experience where your only job is to rest. Reiki encourages the body’s natural ability to unwind, release tension, and settle into a more balanced state.
This practice is especially supportive during times of stress, overwhelm, or emotional heaviness. It offers a peaceful space to pause and reset—without needing to do anything at all.
You will lie down on a comfortable, padded massage table. Unlike a traditional massage, Reiki is performed with the client fully clothed. I recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing and socks to stay warm. I'll make sure you are supported with pillows and a soft blanket.
I will place my hands lightly on or just above specific energy centres (chakras) on your body. There is no pressure or manipulation of muscle tissue. I typically start at the head and move down towards the feet.
Every experience is unique. You might feel a pleasant sensation of warmth, gentle tingling or "waves" of relaxation. Even if you don't feel "tingling" or "heat" during the session, Reiki is still working. Most people enter a state of deep relaxation (the "theta" brainwave state). Most clients leave feeling "lighter", more centered and often report having the best night's sleep they've had in weeks.

Whether you’re looking to heal the heart or clear mental fog, Karuna energy provides a powerful, multi-dimensional healing experience that complements traditional Usui Reiki practices perfectly.
This modality uses specific frequencies to target: past life and karmic issues, deep seated trauma and cellular memory, anxiety and sleeplessness, self-esteem and confidence.
Which session should I book?
Choose Usui Reiki if you are feeling stressed, physically tired or simply need to “reset” your energy and find peace.
Choose Karuna Reiki® if you are ready to do deep emotional work, break through long-standing personal blocks, or wish to connect more deeply with your higher guidance.
Can Usui Reiki and Karuna Reiki® be combined? Yes, they can!
I have never received Reiki before; can I start with Karuna Reiki®?
I would recommend starting with traditional Usui Reiki for a few reasons:
- The “Volume” of Energy: If Usui Reiki is like a gentle, soothing stream, Karuna Reiki® is more like a powerful waterfall. For someone who has never experienced energy work, the intensity of Karuna Reiki® can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming.
- Foundation First: Usui Reiki is excellent for general relaxation and “leveling out” your system. Once your energy is balanced, the deeper, more targeted work of Karuna Reiki® tends to be even more effective.
- Sensitivity: Starting with a traditional session helps you understand how your body specifically responds to energy healing before moving into the high-frequency work of Karuna Reiki®
🌿Crystal Infused Reiki
We'll start with a quick chat about your current energy. Are you feeling anxious? Tired? Heart heavy? This helps me choose the right crystals for you. Once you are relaxed on the table, I will gently place specific crystals on your body (over your clothes). As I perform Reiki, you may feel a subtle shift in temperature or a "pulse" where the crystals are resting. The stones act like amplifiers, helping Reiki go exactly where it is needed most. At the end of the session, the stones are removed and we'll take a moment to ground you before you head back out into your day.

Understanding Chakras: Your Body's Inner Ecosystem
Think of Chakras as the 'power stations' of your body. The word itself means 'wheel' or 'disk'. We have seven main chakras that run along the spine, starting from the base and ending at the crown of the head.
When these wheels are spinning freely, energy flows smoothly, and we feel balanced, vibrant, and emotionally stable. However, stress, trauma, or even physical illness can cause a chakra to become 'blocked' or sluggish. In a Reiki session, we work to clear these pathways, helping your energy move naturally again so you can feel like your best self.
Note: If you prefer a completely hands-off (hovering) session, please let me know. Reiki is just as effective without physical contact.
I recommend drinking plenty of water after any energy work to help your body process the shift.
