How a Session Works
Unlike human Reiki, animal sessions are entirely "pet-led." I don’t force a pet to sit still or be touched. Instead, I create a "meditation bubble" of healing energy. Your pet can choose to be right in my lap, across the room, or even in their favorite bed. By giving them the agency to accept the energy on their own terms, the healing becomes a much more profound experience for them.

Does my pet have to sit still or be touched during the session? Not at all! One of the best parts of Animal Reiki is that it is "pet-led." Your pet can move around, play, or even leave the room. I simply create the "meditation bubble," and your pet chooses how much of that energy they wish to take in.
Can Reiki replace my pet’s veterinary care? Reiki is a complementary therapy, not a replacement for veterinary medicine. It works wonderfully alongside traditional treatments to reduce stress and help the body’s natural healing systems function more effectively. Always consult your vet for medical diagnoses.
What if my pet is aggressive or very nervous around strangers? For pets who are protective or easily stressed by new people, Distance Reiki is the perfect solution. I can hold the session from my studio while your pet remains in the absolute comfort of their home. The healing benefits are exactly the same!
How will I know if it’s working? Most pets show visible signs of relaxation during a session, such as deep sighs, licking and chewing, yawning, or falling into a deep sleep. Long-term, you may notice improvements in their mood, energy levels, or a decrease in anxious behaviors.
IN-PERSON OR DISTANCE SESSIONS
Because Reiki transcends physical space, these sessions are equally effective whether I am sitting in the room with your pet or sending energy from a distance. Distance sessions are often preferred for highly nervous animals or those who are protective of their home territory.
